A quick link to the last full race.

This year has started off slow for the offroad series in iowa. The first race i attempted at Prophetstown, IL. I raced in the beginners class. This was a very big class. I trainned for a couple months in the off season to get an edge on the competition. I was disappointed to find out that since they were racing pro classes, that they cut our class ride time in half. This meant i needed a great start, and stay up front. I didnt do either. Of all people, my bikes carb has built up a little bit of bad fuel in the pilot jet. this caused a three, maybe five kick start. Bad start. that left me to be behind all the riders who wreck and simply plug up the trail. Even though the gas bill to get to the race was expensive, i dont consider it my last full race. A full race is a good two hour scramble at least through the woods. So my last full race was last year at Council Bluffs, ia. It was a fairly short track. I was on a borrowed bike, and at the time had not done anything to condition myself physically. My start was great, but then conditioning took place and my pace slowed. This was the race that stuck in my head all winter. So i began to train. So i have high hopes for this season. Heres how the last full race went down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8JTouI2NFo

For those few who choose to catch up on this blog i apologize for the lack of posts. Work has picked up considerably lately. Of course with the riding season also comes maintnance. I also have put in an attempt to be a bit competitive with the local hare scramble/enduro series. So there will be some posts on things with that as well.
